Position Summary:

As the Lead Civil Engineer – Roads & Gravity, you will be the primary architect of road design, responsible for creating road alignments, dimensions, and Right of Way (ROW). You will lead a team of road, utilities, and infrastructure engineers to deliver complex projects using the client’s Digital Delivery process. Your role will include setting out authority approval strategies and engaging with reviewing engineers to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define technical design parameters for roads and service corridors.
• Interpret traffic study inputs/outputs and adjust design parameters accordingly.
• Establish design methods and standards for gravity services within road networks.
• Conduct storm water design analysis based on hydrologic reports.
• Liaise with local authorities to obtain necessary project approvals.
• Review and validate design progress through simulations and calculations.
• Coordinate services with other infrastructure works.
• Prepare concept designs, detailed designs, production information, and tender documentation.
• Update project details to meet specific requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in BIM project delivery tools and processes.
• Expertise in Civil3D, Navisworks, and Infraworks.
• Must pass the Knowledge Smart Test according to the client’s policies.
• Proven project delivery experience on large roads and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to lead a team of professionals, including road engineers and BIM modelers.
• Experience interfacing with ministries and authorities to secure project approvals.
• Excellent report writing and design documentation skills.

Certifications:

• Registration with Kuwait Society of Engineers or KSA Society of Engineers.
• PE, PEng, or equivalent certifications are highly considered.

Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in roads and infrastructure engineering design.
• At least 5 years in a Lead Engineer position.
• Design experience is essential; site supervision experience is not counted.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and collaboration abilities.
• Technical competence to provide expert advice and guidance.
• Ability to interface and collaborate with building design departments.
• Broad project overview skills beyond specific scope and expertise.
