Glove and Barrier LinesmenÂ

Job PurposeÂ
To ensure the construction, maintenance, and repair of the electrical distribution network, across Western Australia. This role will encompass live line working techniques, with a specific focus on Glove and Barrier methods to ensure that the highest level of safety and efficiency is achieved.
The Role 
We are seeking skilled and experienced Glove & Barrier Line workers with prior experience as a G&B Line worker and/or High Voltage (HV) Switching Operator.
Qualifications and education requirementsÂ
- Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Overhead (UET30619) or equivalent.
- A current Western Australian Electrical Workers Licence would be advantageous.
- A current driving licence is required, with Medium Rigid (MR) classification preferred.
- Construction Industry White Card.
- High Risk Licences (Elevating Work Platform, Dogging and/or Rigging).
- Current VESI Skills passport with up-to-date training is advantageous.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make swift and sensible decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Physically fit, able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and willing to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Be willing to travel across the state of Western Australia.

- 10 & 4 roster
- $56.14 p/h + overtime
- $332.70 LAHA for regional work

- FIFO from Eastern States to WA, flights paid for by our client (travel is in own time)
- 8.45 hrs per day
- LAFHA ATO rates
- Income protection – deductions – $42.00 for income protecting
- Redundancy Fund – $100.00 for PROTECT redundancy fund paid by our client
G&B training for candidates outside of WA is for a duration of 3 weeks, in which case the normal G&B rate (above) is paid as a day’s work. Contract start date is from initial fly in date
FIFO to Perth will maybe be for two years, but we will need to start to build a local workforce in Perth eventually
Options for a longer roster isn’t an option at this stage
