Job Purpose 

To ensure the construction, maintenance, and repair of the electrical distribution network, across Western Australia. This role will encompass live line working techniques, with a specific focus on Glove and Barrier methods to ensure that the highest level of safety and efficiency is achieved.

The Role 

We are seeking skilled and experienced Glove & Barrier Line workers with prior experience as a G&B Line worker and/or High Voltage (HV) Switching Operator.

Qualifications and education requirements 

• Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Overhead (UET30619) or equivalent.
• A current Western Australian Electrical Workers Licence would be advantageous.
• A current driving licence is required, with Medium Rigid (MR) classification preferred.
• Construction Industry White Card.
• High Risk Licences (Elevating Work Platform, Dogging and/or Rigging).
• Current VESI Skills passport with up-to-date training is advantageous.

• Be willing to travel across the state of Western Australia.

G&B training for candidates outside of WA is for a duration of 3 weeks, in which case the normal G&B rate (above) is paid as a day’s work. Contract start date is from initial fly in date

FIFO to Perth will maybe be for two years, but we will need to start to build a local workforce in Perth eventually
